This project is a single-story residence plan of about 210 square meters in actual size.
To meet various needs for a client returning from overseas, the design team prioritized adjustments in floor plan, focusing on a comfortable, safe and barrier-free line of movement. The double master bedroom and piano room adopt a flexible arrangement with functional clusters allowing for both static and moving activities, maximizing the public area鈥檚 depth of field while integrating unique combinations of varied materials and exquisite craftsmanship, presenting a highly customized aesthetic, taste and sense of spatial formality.
The feature wall at the entrance foyer uses stone materials in dual tones of black and white processed into odd shapes. The overall space exudes a calm atmosphere with rounded corners, and is designed to allow a partial filtering in of light, providing introduction to the line of movement, a sensory aesthetic and an elegant guest reception. It also obscures visibility of the corridor leading to private areas and naturally guides layers of light and shadow with rich textural shifts into the public area.
The living and dining room adopt an open layout for sharing, with comfortable furniture placements, a kitchen preparation countertop perfect for dialogue and interaction and an axis along an island dining table. The ceiling features a linear recessed lighting grooved the lines of wooden grilles in the tea and piano room behind the TV wall and dining table exude a rhythmic pulse within a quiet atmosphere.
The master bedroom adopts an elegant and muted color scheme. The floor features a herringbone pattern to match a soft leather headboard and gilded lamp details, exuding a low-key and vintage feel. In terms of functionality, the room includes a standalone changing room, dressing area and four bathrooms, presenting a precise and effective proportion distribution and human-oriented thinking. It creates the ultimate user experience and perfectly shows off the home owner鈥檚 minimalist and exquisite aesthetic.
