Guanyin District in Taoyuan City has long been renowned for lotus flowers, often referred to as "Guanyin in the north, Baihe in the south." The Lotus Festival, now in its 26th year, is a major annual event for the region. The theme of the 2024 Lotus Festival, 鈥淭he Love of the Lotus鈥�, explores human relationships鈥攆amily, friendship, and romantic love鈥攖hrough points, lines, and planes, expanding to love for the city and, ultimately, love for the land. This progression from personal love to a broader, interconnected network of affection highlights the theme of collective care. Through a blend of education and entertainment, the festival helps establish Taoyuan as the "Capital of Leisure Agriculture" in northern Taiwan.
