Diaoyu Lake is the largest artificial lake in southwest China. It was built by the surrounding people in the 1970s and 1980s. It was once the key to local agricultural irrigation. Nowadays, with the shift of the focus of the regional industry, the Diaoyu Lake will become the core carrier of the local tertiary industry. The design of the lakeside resort hotel marks the beginning of a new chapter.
The theme of the hotel is to inherit history and explore the future. It adopts a horizontal and vertical two-axis layout. The vertical axis solves the height difference of about 18m and connects three major design attractions in series. The first view is the main entrance of the hotel, which is composed of the waterscape of the original stone of the site and the construction inspired by "flat pole" and "frame" on both sides; the middle view is the central viewing area of the hotel, with an unbounded swimming pool and public facilities; the end view is a lakeside view, which is an excellent place for fishing scenery designed using the characteristics of the site. The height difference of the horizontal axis is soothing. Combined with the local colorful leafy plants, it creates a colorful leaf walkway that changes in the four seasons. The hotel yard and common area use different landscapes to create special scene gardens and landscape nodes to improve the attraction of the hotel and the quality of the tourist experience.
