Under the theme " River •Vision," the Wannian River lantern zone featured three narrative segments—" River Vision Unfolding," "Memories," and "Sweet River "—that guided visitors through a time-space where the new and old interwove. The overall lighting installation extended beyond the banks of Wannian River to also encompass the Ren'ai Road area, offering the public a broader viewing perspective through an interplay of ambient light and interactive elements.
The main lantern, "Infinite River Vision," symbolized the ceaseless vitality of the Wannian River and the endless cycle of time. According to legend, every twelfth year of the Snake, the river's guardian snake awakens as a meteor descends, gazing over the land and bringing hope. As the first glimmer of light danced on the river's surface, another guardian snake quietly emerged from the depths; the two, as if fated twins, danced with the current, eventually intertwining into infinite forms on the water. The harmonious interplay between light and reflection powerfully conveyed the Wannian River’s boundless life force and sustainable spirit while also underscoring the intimate connection between humanity and nature.
