As a project involving the renovation of an old house, our primary focus is on a property that is over 40 years old and spans a modest 63 square meters. Our goal is not only to address structural issues such as leaks and wall damage, but also to overcome spatial limitations and maximize efficiency. To achieve this, our design team has reconfigured the spatial layout and repositioned bedroom entrances. We have also capitalized on every available space to incorporate storage solutions and integrated mirrors to create a comfortable and stress-free living environment with a smooth flow and ample storage. Our aim is to meet and exceed the expectations of the residents for their home.

Upon entering the room, one will immediately notice the seamless integration of the common area, thanks to the open design concept embraced by the designer. The living room, dining room, and bar area are meticulously planned along the same axis to allow natural light to permeate the space unhindered. To address the residents' extensive storage needs, the designer incorporated storage cabinets under each beam and within odd spaces created by columns. To prevent a cramped ambiance resulting from excessive cabinetry, the designer artfully employed mirrors, lines, and other elements to create visually lighter cabinet surfaces.

Notably, the TV cabinet deviates from conventional designs with its specially crafted lifting mechanism for user convenience. Moving to the bar area, the designer astutely utilized the existing bay window configuration to fashion a tranquil space, while repurposing an adjacent odd space into a storage room for larger items. Transitioning to the private area, the designer repositioned the master bedroom entrance and reconfigured the layout to enhance the functionality of the cloakroom and dressing room, resulting in improved flow and movement within the space.

The residential design places a strong emphasis on not only aesthetics and practicality but also environmental protection and sustainable development. To achieve this, the design incorporates external windows in both public and private areas, allowing natural light to filter through and reduce the need for artificial lighting during the day.
