The design embraces Eastern aesthetics, characterized by subtlety, restraint, and a deep reverence for nature. It emphasizes the poetic spirit of traditional Chinese culture, using modern techniques to reinterpret classic elements and create an atmosphere that fosters contemplation and serenity. Symbolism is a key tool鈥攖ea leaves, octagonal windows, and natural textures are used not only for their visual appeal but also for their rich cultural connotations, enhancing emotional resonance and storytelling within the space. Spatial planning is rooted in functionality and user experience. Areas with the best natural lighting and lake views are prioritized for guest seating, while the service counter is strategically placed under the staircase to ensure seamless circulation and efficient operations. A central elevated tea platform, surrounded by tea pavilions at varying heights, creates visual layers while maintaining unobstructed sightlines to the lake. The looped circulation path invites movement and spontaneous interaction with different spatial vignettes. One of the focal points is a sculptural bronze spiral staircase with an emerald wood handrail, evoking the image of a "green serpent playing with pearls." This symbolic motif subtly references local legends while adding vertical dynamism to the space. Large, framed windows transform the exterior landscape into living paintings, making nature an integral part of the interior experience. Material selection reflects both sustainability and tactile authenticity. Natural wood veneers and artisanal light-colored plasters are used to create warm, minimalist surfaces that breathe and age gracefully over time. These materials also help define "blank" spatial moments鈥攊ntentional pauses that highlight surrounding views and promote mindfulness, in line with the Eastern design philosophy of 鈥渓eaving space for the invisible.鈥 Water elements, including a small indoor pond with a Taihu stone, form a bridge between architecture and landscape. Ultimately, the design promotes a slower, cyclical sense of time. It invites guests to pause, to reconnect with the rhythms of nature, and to find balance amid the demands of modern life. Through a nuanced blend of tradition and innovation, the space becomes not just a place for drinking tea, but a sanctuary for reflection, cultural immersion, and inner peace.
