Situated on the east of Pazhou Pagoda Park in Guangzhou City, this villa design follows a modern neo-luxury concept, integrating automotive aesthetics with contemporary lifestyle thinking. The designer sought to balance power and subtlety through spatial proportion, structure, and materiality, creating a refined residence that reflects both quality of life and a sense of forward-looking elegance.
With a soaring ceiling height of 6.5 meters, the living room was designed to evoke a grand and open atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the aerodynamic curves of Aston Martin automobiles, the designer integrated the ceiling and walls through continuous geometric lines, creating a strong visual rhythm and spatial tension. To address the structural challenge posed by overhead beams, a custom “curved beam wrapping” technique was employed—turning a constraint into a sculptural element that enhances both the space’s artistic character and its dynamic flow.
In the dining area, the designer continued the automotive theme by reinterpreting car door handles into the background wall’s design. These sculptural details, paired with crocodile-textured double doors, introduce both tactile depth and a sense of understated luxury. A softly arched ceiling defines the dining space, adding intimacy and ceremony. The transition between dining and living spaces is carefully composed using curated art installations, linking function and flow while enriching the spatial narrative.
The study room was reimagined as a space where structure and creativity intersect. A custom metal bookshelf, inspired by the form of automotive headlights, balances industrial aesthetics with artistic expression.
The design of the kitchen and island takes its design cue from the rising steam of a home-cooked meal. The designer translated the idea of “flowing air” into tactile surfaces and directional lines using sintered stone, breaking away from the static definition of a traditional kitchen.
In the master suite, the feature wall behind the bed adopts a soft wave pattern that echoes the river view framed by the floor-to-ceiling windows. This visual dialogue between motion and stillness creates an atmosphere of emotional balance.
This project represents more than designing a home—it is a thoughtful response to the pursuit of beauty, lifestyle, and personal identity.
