The misty gray stone-patterned flooring, like the quiet unfolding of early morning fog, sets a serene backdrop for the space. Paired with expansive white walls and grayish furnishings, the design creates a restrained ambiance within a calm setting. The sofa, curtains, and décor, all in similar-toned gradients, guide the eye naturally, inviting residents to settle their souls. The TV wall, with its gray-white marble-effect panels, serves as a stable and grounding visual anchor; its veining appears and fades like smoke under shifting light. The overall design, with its minimalist language, strips away excessive ornamentation, focusing on the purity of textures shaped by light and material. It creates a space where daily rituals can unfold at a leisurely pace.

This home belongs to a family of four: a couple, a young child, and an elderly female relative. Therefore, the design centers on family structure and daily rhythm, utilizing an open-plan layout to encourage interaction, paired with a flexible furnishing system that can adjust according to the activities of family members. Whether gathering, learning, or finding solitude, each need is accommodated with ease. The home grows and evolves with its users, becoming a living vessel that matures alongside the family over time.
This project adopts an open-plan strategy by removing partitions between the dining and kitchen areas and discarding the kitchen door altogether. As a result, it creates a transparent and cohesive flow throughout the living axis. The living room serves as the core of the public area, where a modular furniture arrangement naturally defines zones. The sofa back wall, movable coffee table, and the dining table circulation collectively shape a space that supports both interaction and independence. This flexible configuration not only enhances functional efficiency but also adapts seamlessly to various everyday scenarios. By doing so, the design thoughtfully responds to the evolving dynamics of family structure and relationships, bringing spatial planning closer to the true essence of living together.
