BAY SUMMER FUN was Asia's first cute and healing art exhibition around IP Mr.Rose (designed by artist Philippe Katerine) held in 2022, aiming to help restore residents' confidence post-pandemic and inject new vitality into the community.

The exhibition centers on the clumsy yet endearing Mr. Rose, conveying the theme of "Warm and Healing." With an all-pink body, a large nose, an adorable expression, and charming limb movements, the romantic and whimsical Mr. Rose invites visitors to rediscover a world full of childlike wonder and reclaim the simple joys of childhood.

Based on the existing space of Shenzhen Bay MixC, the exhibition focuses on beautifying spatial planes with multi-pose IP Mr.Rose figures, complemented by landscape designs featuring Mr. Rose. The IP figures come in two main sizes—1.4 meters and 2.5 meters—and are integrated into functional areas such as street paths, leisure steps, and commercial signage, creating a unified pink-themed space that fosters a relaxing and healing atmosphere. This setup not only satisfies visitors' desire to take photos with Mr. Rose but also encourages secondary dissemination as visitors share their experiences on social media. Coinciding with China's traditional Qixi Festival during the exhibition period, we extended the romantic tone by exclusively designing an all-pink rose emergency kit, further delivering good wishes and positive ideas.

In addition, the exhibition was unveiled in a lightweight format, showcasing static artworks in outdoor spaces without the use of water or electricity, relying solely on natural lighting. This approach fully embodies low-carbon practices. All materials used were recyclable, and the installations can be repurposed for exhibitions in other cities, reflecting the commitment to sustainability.
