This project is a luxury residence that fuses the cultural and spatial identities of Guanyinqiao, Chongqing, and Manhattan, New York—two iconic urban centers with distinct lifestyles and aesthetics. The design integrates Guanyinqiao’s natural charm, surrounded by mountains and water, with Manhattan’s metropolitan sophistication, creating a dual-city experience that celebrates both tranquility and vibrancy. The concept of “prosperity outside and tranquility inside” forms the guiding principle of the space. Manhattan contributes elements of clean lines, bold geometry, and rich materials like golden metals and crystal finishes, while Guanyinqiao offers organic textures, soft hues, and traditional craftsmanship. Together, they generate a harmonious contrast—East meets West, nature meets city, and tradition meets modernity. Natural jade, textured wood, and ramie paintings reflect Chongqing’s humanistic warmth and cultural depth, while Art Deco patterns, deconstructed furniture, and modern lighting embody the avant-garde spirit of Manhattan. Signature features such as the “Linglong” stone sculpture and translucent jade partitions echo a poetic Chinese sensibility, while international brands like Baobab and Catellani & Smith bring refined global taste. Each space tells part of this story: the entrance hall welcomes with layered light and material contrasts; the living and dining areas blend gray tones with gold and green accents; the tea room and sky garden offer moments of calm rooted in Chongqing’s lifestyle. The master bedroom combines traditional Chinese craftsmanship with luxurious Western details, using ramie, mother-of-pearl, and warm leather to convey elegance. This design doesn't merely juxtapose two cultures—it interweaves them, allowing them to resonate and enhance one another. Every detail is deliberate, from scents to textures, and from spatial flow to decorative accents. The result is a refined, emotionally rich home that expresses a new kind of contemporary living—one that embodies the rhythm of Chongqing and the glamour of Manhattan, forming a sophisticated “Tale of Two Cities” in one immersive experience.
